If we lived near Sun Valley, California, we would definitely try to get Emma & Rowan into this place! Paradise Ranch is a canine resort that has kennel free daycare & boarding (at the Bed and Biscuit Inn), grooming, training and the country's first dog water park.
Even without the water park, this is a great place. The dogs get to sleep on actual beds in a home setting and if they're used to sleeping with a human, you can pay an extra fee to have someone sleep with them. While they're at the daycare or staying overnight, you can schedule them for training sessions (they'll teach them how to boogie board and dock dive!), a massage, private play sessions and walks. They even have web cams so you can check on how your pup is doing anytime of the day.
The water park alone is a genius idea. It includes a few pools for the dogs to splash around in, a dolphin statue spouting water for pups that like to nip at flowing water and a dock diving pool. I think it's guaranteed that your dog would be extremely happy and exhausted after spending the day at this resort. The name fits because this is definitely a pooch's paradise!
Can you imagine working at this place? If my day consisted of playing with dogs, walking them, teaching them fun stuff, sleeping with them and taking care of them, I don't think I'd ever want to leave work! Talk about a dream job!

there is a small water park here in town and when they do their anual cleaning, they invite dogs to go in and play for one day, right before the drain everything:) i think i saw this place on tv awhile back, it does look really fun/nice!!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously!? This is SO cool. I totally agree: I pretty much wanna visit Sun Valley just* so Elli can stay here. Or live. Haha. Maybe she'd learn to love water there, she was quite afraid of the ocean, aside from running near it.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're so right about it being a dream job. It looks 10x better for the dogs than the place I work... and then there's the sunshine all day, every day. Could a person ever get tired of that? I love it. :)
What an amazing place. That would be a really fun job. Maybe they'll open one near you someday; you'd be an ideal candidate! Maybe Emma and Rowan could even come to work with you. :)
