Emma considers herself "famous". Oh yes, you should see her strut her stuff around the house, bragging about her "modeling career". I really can't blame her, though, because she is quite the gorgeous little lady. Besides being featured in listings of a few Etsy shops to help sell doggie duds, Emma's been in not one, but two magazines! The most recent is the April 2011 issue of Fido Friendly on page 22 for the "Show Us Your Tongues" feature. I submitted pictures of both of the girls for this and they picked Emma's picture for this issue. Hopefully Rowan gets in eventually because she deserves time in the spotlight, too!
Emma and I were also in the July/August 2008 issue of VegNews on page 46. Not too long before that, I had founded
Vegan Etsy and was the sole writer for their blog for a while. The blog won a "bloggy award" in their first ever annual blog awards, which was quite the honor! While I'm no longer involved with Vegan Etsy, I do still like to get the word out about them, so if you haven't heard of them before make sure to check them out! Wow, you guys are famous! I had no idea you founded Vegan Etsy...that's so cool! Emma really is a gorgeous girl, and so is Rowan, I'm sure she'll get more time in the spotlight in future.
ReplyDeleteYou and Emma are awesome! And so is Rowan of course. Sienna is a little jealous of Emma but tells me to mention she was in a book that Bark magazine published called Dog Joy.
ReplyDeleteRose- I handed over leadership to someone else after a while. It's a great group, but was just too much for me at the time (and still would be). A lot of the members make really great things!
ReplyDeletebitt- I've almost gotten Dog Joy several times! We get Bark magazine, so I've seen it advertised & it looks like a really fun book. That's so cool that Sienna is in it!
My girls were wondering if they could please have Emma's autograph. :-) Your Emma certainly has star power! And I have no doubt that her understudy (Rowan) will burst onto the scene with her own high-powered modeling career soon, too!

I still have all my back issues of VegNews but can't remember when I started subscribing. It might have been right around the time you were profiled in it, so I need to see if I have that issue! I love the line in it about you having to restrain yourself from buying every single Vegan Etsy item! :-) Vegan Etsy is a great resource and sure is doing great! That's got to feel so rewarding! Laurie- Thanks! I'm really happy that it's given so many on Etsy a resource. It did have it's frustrations, but overall, it's a really great group. You'll have to let me know if you have that issue of VegNews!
