The Crypton Throver

Getting a couple of Crypton Throvers has been on our wish list for a while now.  Since Emma & Rowan have birthdays just two weeks apart from each other, we thought it was a perfect time to splurge on them.

The main reason we wanted to get them is because they're perfect for "after bath time".  Since they're allowed on our furniture, they tend to get the couch, chair, their beds and our bed quite wet after they've had their baths.  That's not a good thing, especially since we live in a somewhat humid environment and both Rowan and myself have pretty bad mold allergies.  So, we do what we can to reduce the amount of mold spores in our house.

Besides being very high quality and durable (we like to purchase things that last!), they're made out of material that is extremely resistant to moisture, odor, bacteria and stains (they use an environmentally safe way of making the fabric resistant).  Perfect for around the house, outside and in the car for when the pups are dirty and/or wet.  While we did use regular blankets before, those always soaked through to the furniture, which defeated the purpose of using them. 

Just like other blankets, we can throw them in the washer and dryer (although line drying them is recommended).  We've used them several times already and have been really impressed.  Absolutely no moisture has gotten through to our furniture and they're perfect for laying in front of the fireplace while Emma stays warm. 

My only complaint is that the brown one we got is more of a slippery material.  The black one is softer and not slippery (with the print on one side and a faux suede on the other side), but they're both gorgeous blankets that will last a very, very long time.  An added bonus is that the company practices several great eco-friendly practices and has more plans to be greener in the future.  We're very happy with them!
