I received issue 5 of the Peace To All Creatures zine a few weeks ago and although I've loved every issue so far, this is by far my favorite. The cover always features art that's animal themed. I adore both art and animals, so that's reason alone to love it, in my opinion. When I opened it up to peruse the contents, I found that the first section was dedicated to companion animals, including such amazing articles as How a Crazy Cat Lady Fell in Love With Pit Bulls. Even more exciting was seeing articles by other bloggers I recognized- Amber of Zombie Cats Eating Plants, Roni of Daisy Wares, PJ of Vegan Cinegrub and Dan of The Gay Vegans. The zine itself is put together by two wonderful women, one who also blogs, Pippi of Vegan Bliss and Jessi of the awesome Ginger Card Company Etsy shop.
Other sections include Veg'n, Diet & Lifestyle and Recipes, in which you'll find such gems as Hippie Tips, Alkaline & Acid Forming Energy and recipes for natural skin care products, thousand island dressing, linguini with pesto, lemon cheesecake and cinnamon rolls. The inside front & back covers feature more art and you'll even find an article by yours truly (I've contributed to each issue so far).
If you're looking for some great gifts for the holidays, zines are definitely something to consider. Not only are you buying handmade, but if you get a vegan one you'll be supporting other vegans, as well. Double goodness points! I've posted about a few in the past and plan on getting more soon, so stay tuned for future reviews! In the meantime, take a look-see at the zine's blog and give them some love on Facebook. They also welcome contributions, which you can find information about on their blog. I hope to see more of you lovely bloggers in the next issue!
Honored! XO
ReplyDeleteThese look awesome! I still need to order some of Maud's zines! I wish that I was creative enough to make one...it seems like it would be so much fun to produce!
