Hotels & Lodgings With Fenced In Areas For Dogs

We've stayed at several places that had fenced in dog runs, which is such a nice thing to have when you're traveling with dogs.  I've also made several other guides for traveling and lodgings for dogs.  All of the below lodgings have a fenced in area for dogs to run off leash.

In addition to these places, I have a rather large list of campgrounds & RV resorts that have fenced in areas for dogs, listed by state.

La Quinta Inn in Moab, Utah

La Quinta Inn in Albuquerque, New Mexico (Midtown location)

La Quinta Inn in North Platte, Nebraska

Greer Lodge Resort cabins in Greer, Arizona

Sliding Rock Cabins in Northern Georgia

Russian River Getaways Cabins in Northern California (only some have fenced in areas for dogs)

Big Bear Getaway Cabins & Vacations Homes in Big Bear City, California (only some have fenced in areas for dogs)

San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California (the Warner cabin has a fenced in yard)

Project Vegan's Welcome To Paradise Guest Home in Tucson, Arizona

Ten Thousand Waves Resort in Santa Fe, New Mexico (several of their rooms have enclose courtyards)

Black Dog Inn in Estes Park, Colorado (the Mt. Olympus cabin only)

Cliffside Cottages In Estes Park, Colorado

Upper Skyline Cabin in Estes Park, Colorado

Acadia Acres in Bar Harbor, Maine (the Jordan Point house has a fenced in dog run)

Hicksville Trailer Palace in Joshua Tree, California

I'll be adding to this list as I find more.  If you have any you'd like me to add, please let me know!

  1. Wow, all those places. I've never been to a hotel that had any type of amenities for pets. They allowed them, but that's about it. It was always a bit difficult travelling with my oldest fur head and we travelled alot. I wish more places had fenced runs, walking services and maybe even an indoor play area.

  3. CraftyEarthMama- it seems as though a lot of places are starting to accommodate dogs more. I even saw one place that has robes for them! Indoor play areas would be so nice.

SV- thanks! We've been to a few of them and plan on staying at least a few more.

  4. What a great idea. I think more and more people are starting to acknowledge that pets are family members, and lodgings such as these are a sign of this change. Thanks for posting this!

FYI, the apron arrived, and it's super cute! Thank you so much. I'll be posting pictures on my blog soon. And Skyla loves her collar flowers. :)

  8. Your lucky dogs! I wish we could travel more with ours, but I think we have officially maxed out the space in our car with our kids and luggage alone! We need to start thinking about getting a bigger car so we can travel more with our dogs. Your research makes me think we should!

  9. Sage- I'm glad everything arrived to you safe & sound! I'll be looking forward to the photos. :)

Jenny- we traveled with my stepsons and Emma (before Rowan was adopted) a few times and it was pretty stressful. And crowded!
